More Biscuits Please
Feed back from the local Avebury shop over the solstice has been very positive.

The shop were more prepared than last year when they quickly ran out of the essentials such as bottles of mead. This year with extra supplies they enjoyed a good trade and thanked everyone for being polite and for all waiting patiently to be served!

When asked what they had ran out of first the answer was biscuits ..

Camping at Emanon
There was some complaints made by villagers regarding the camping in Emanon over the Solstice period. While many of the campers did move to the main Glebe field when it became open, some decided to stay as fires were not permitted in the main field.

As a result there will likely be further security and protection for the area over the next Solstice. The National Trust have said that off ground cooking facilities and BBQ's were allowed in the Glebe field and have agreed to make this clearer for next year.

Avebury Carpark Charges
We have had confirmation from the National Trust that there is now a penalty notice system for non-payers in-place from the 13th of June onwards.

This means if any vehicles are found with out a valid parking ticket the vehicle will be towed. The NT have reduced the rates for people camping over the solstice. For two days parking the rate is £8.00 or for three days is £12.00.
